It's been such a long time people...
I've missed you all...
Have been going through some tough times at work and also thru the complicated process of moving to another town...
Gladly is all worth it for I'm going to live with the love of my life and the excitement is as great as the difficulties...

WHAT THE HELL IS PRIDE??


I've been around enough time to know that pride is much more than just one of the deadly sins.

I've seen enough to know that pride can do as much good as it can do bad.

But more than all that Pride is a necessary thing in our lives.


We all need to feel proud of something if not only of ourselves.

Some are proud of their country - as if the country was theirs

Some are proud of being different - whatever that is

Some are proud of their money - everyone knows that does not buy happiness

Some are proud of their art - and some should be a little more

Some are proud of their loved ones, their friends, their acquaintances or whomever they feel like to be worthy of their appreciation and "worship".

And there I said it!!

Pride is nothing else but a sense of worship in the person or thing you choose to adore.

That is also why it was (still is for some) considered a sin.

Only the gods (and please forgive my open mind about ALL of them) were worthy of worship!

Nowadays we use the Pride word as a sword to strike those who do not share our point of view.

But I don't want you to share MY point of view, I just want to share my point of view with YOU.

And I sure would like it to work both ways

One thing I'm sure, whatever makes you PROUD, you want to shut it out loud!!!

Another thing with pride is that you want the whole world to know how proud you are!!

And that's basically the reason why i wrote this journal. To scream to the world that I'm proud!!

I'm proud of being a girl and I'm proud of the girl I am - we cannot please everyone you know...

I'm proud of my past - despite the mistakes I'm not so proud of

Proud of my ancestors - they also made some huge mistakes

Proud of my roots - I'm not quite sure of those though

I'm proud of what I do - just not all of the times

I'm proud of my art - even when it's crap - I made a rhime

I'm proud of my choices - just because they are mine!!

But most of all... I'm proud to be here and being able to share my pride with you all...

Ever since I decided to join I've had some great surprises, not only for the eyes and mind but also for the heart... I cannot mention all of you that have been so kind to me with your comments, your help, your support and your friendship but I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about and I just hope I'll be able to give it back to you some day...

It happens to almost everybody to, one day, just come across somebody you knew (or know) in a place you would never imagine or in a way you would never believe and that happened to me with some people here on dA!! But the latest was when I just went to buy my monthly publication of FotoPlus. And guess who was in the cover page??? A great artist and someone I like to consider a friend Mr. G. aka *gerhardt

I was so excited... Isn't such a pleasure to see recognition from your work or the ones you appreciate?? I just had to make a journal about this, so I talked to my sweet *LadyAnubis and she was kind enough (as always ) to scan the front page of the magazine for me to post here as she will (better, I'm sure) in her own journal
